Les pido a todas las personas que me han escrito que tengan algo de paciencia, pues he pasado un tanto ocupado; a partir de la próxima semana contestaré los diversos pedidos que han realizado. A los amigos de Colombia y Chile igualmente les solicito me esperen, pues estoy reuniendo la información y los documentos sobre César Guerrero y el pasillo El Aguacate y sobre Alberto Alvarado Valdivieso “El Diablo Ocioso”.

Invernal: un pasillo soneto



El compositor Nicasio Safadi Reves

Pasillo compuesto por el libanés, nacionalizado ecuatoriano y radicado en Guayaquil, Nicasio Safadi Reves (1897-1968), en base al texto del poeta manteño José María Egas. Los versos fueron escritos en la ciudad de Quito en 1920. La partitura fue editada por el mismo Safadi en 1933 en suÁlbum musical Guayaquil, N° 4. Nicasio Safadi fue un músico excepcional y prolífico quien además de crear, cantaba (formó parte del Dúo Ecuador junto a Enrique Ibáñez Mora en los años treintas) y tocaba la guitarra. Esta pieza musical, junto al pasilloGuayaquil de mis amores figura entre lo más importante del repertorio de Safadi. Nos hemos dado el trabajo de levantar la partitura para que ustedes puedan leerla más fácilmente.
