Todo 11 tiene su 13 y un joropo venezolano

El músico que dice no tener posición política, está en contra de sí mismo; y,

el músico que no hace suya la causa del pueblo, se niega a sí mismo.

Hoy se conmemora el Día de la Dignidad Nacional en Venezuela, día en que el pueblo de Bolívar mostró su ser revolucionario y no solo rescató y salvó al Presidente, Hugo Chávez, sino que con su acción marcó la ruta definitiva para la construcción del socialismo en América.

En esa jornada heroica se develó -en forma cruda y trágica- la vileza y falsedad de la derecha (que en el Mundo entero es una sola), que asistida por el imperio del Norte, mostraba a través de sus medios de comunicación en alarde de manipulación y montaje a las nuevas autoridades económicas, religiosas y políticas que convocadas por el “espíritu democrático” y en vista de la “renuncia” del Presidente Chávez, asumían el reto de festinarse Venezuela. En nuestro país, el Ecuador, igual, los noticieros se hacían eco y tergiversaban los hechos y se alegraban de que las fuerzas civilizatorias se hicieran cargo de ordenar aquel “convulso país”, en el que había gobernado el “caos y la dictadura” y que ahora gracias a los representantes privados de las cámaras de comercio, de la Iglesia y otras yerbas, “volvía a los reales cauces democráticos”.

La represión fue brutal para con los humildes que salieron a defender a su mandatario, a aquel que habían elegido democráticamente. Los francotiradores, salidos de filas de los sectores más reaccionarios y mercenarios dejaron una estela de sangre venezolana en las calles. A ese pueblo que expuso su vida por alcanzar mejores días y demostró al Mundo su heroico potencial, que ahora es ejemplo revolucionario, nuestro reconocimiento y admiración.

Aprovechamos pues la ocasión para dar a conocer unjoropo que fue recogido en el libroEl arte en América, II, del musicólogo ecuatoriano Pedro Pablo Traversari (Quito, 1874-1956). Este ejemplo melódico forma parte del manuscrito realizado por Traversari en 1903, así que –como se podrá ver- tiene ya sus años. Ignoro si esta pieza es conocida o es fácil de conseguir en Venezuela, aún así con el deber de investigador que es dar a conocer la riqueza musical de nuestra América, hemos transcrito esta pieza para que pueda ser escuchada y usada por todos los interesados.
